Collaborated with Laguna Beach brand WillBo to design a garment that blends their signature coastal style with a fresh, vibrant appeal for a broader audience. This approach honors WillBo’s established identity while introducing new opportunities to resonate with both loyal customers and newcomers.
Who is WillBo?
WillBo is a Laguna Beach brand rooted in coastal living. Known for its relaxed yet vibrant aesthetic expressed through quality designed apparel, the brand blends comfort and style. For this project, I explored how WillBo’s identity could evolve by blending their aesthetic with influences from skate culture. Extending the brands reach while staying true to its coastal beginnings.

Ultimately, the final product came to life through the creation of a prototype, effectively showcasing its functionality. The garment was built to withstand the constant demands that a skater might have while seamlessly blending the street wear aesthetic with inspiration from high utility fishing vests. The physical prototype allowed for real world testing, ensuring the vest met the practical needs of skateboarders while staying true to WillBo’s identity.
